World Series of Team Roping

Friday – WSTR Open, #15.5 pick or draw, #14.5 WSTR. Roping starts at 6:00 pm.

Saturday – #13.5 WSTR, #12.5 WSTR, #11.5 WSTR, #10.5 WSTR, #10.5 saddle roping. Roping begins at 9:00 am.

Sunday – #9.5 WSTR, #8.5 WSTR, #7 WSTR, #9.5 saddle roping. Roping begins at 9:00 am.

Extreme Cowboy Race

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Posse will host a clinic on Friday and they will compete Saturday and Sunday over a variety of obstacles. Riders compete in different divisions for the most points and fastest time. Their horsemanship is unmatched! The race starts at 9:00 am.

I’ll be out there photographing, so feel free to come out and say hi between divisions!

Las Cruces Horseman’s Association Gymkhana

The events in the gymkhana include barrel racing, pole bending, flags, straight 8, a fun event, and a payback event.

This is a PYRA World Finals Qualifier event! The event is open to all kids 17 and under.

The Zia Classic Show

The show starts at 8am.

Check out the talented Arabians from the Arabian Horse Association of New Mexico!

They will be showing in classes including western dressage, carriage driving, and hunter/jumper.

SWQHA Border Circuit

The show starts off early at 8am! Each day is filled with classes such as breakaway roping, boxing, working cow horse, ranch riding, barrel racing, ranch trail, showmanship, hunter under saddle, and western pleasure.

This is a great show to see the versatility of the Quarter Horse breed!

Team Roping School

All levels are welcome to come out and learn team roping with Cesar de la Cruz! There will be 6 headers and 6 heelers in this class. Lunch and refreshments are provided. Ropers will work on groundwork, work with a sled, and work with live cattle. Spectators are welcome at $20 per adult.
